We are living in dangerous times. The world is closer together and there are all kinds of equipment that can be used on a nation or a people.
To those who know God's Word this is no surprise. God has revealed in His Word what is in store for the future of this world.
2 Timothy 3:1
in the last days perilous times
We may not know the depth of what is promised, but the Holy Spirit gives enough light in the truth so we are not in spiritual darkness.
God's Word will be fulfilled; no man, nation or religion will keep it from happening. God means
what he says. Ezekiel 36:36 reads in part: I the Lord have spoken and I will do it.
Ezekiel 12:25 and 28:
whatever I say will be fulfilled. Numbers 23:19
God is not a man that He will lie. So when God's Word tells us about end times, we can rest assured it will come to pass.
When I came to the Lord many years ago, preaching and teaching was different than now. The truth of Jesus, coming truth of judgment, and the truth of eternity was as much a part of our spiritual diet as love, grace and forgiveness. In many congregations today this message has been replaced with prosperity and all that makes us feel good. The message of Jesus coming judgment and eternity has taken a back seat, spiritually.
Jesus told us to watch and pray: Mark 13:28-37 I say to all, watch. In the Old Testament the enemy was flesh and blood. To protect themselves they had walled cities and a watchman on the wall. He would warn of any enemies coming toward the city. We no longer live in walled cities and our enemy is no longer flesh and blood: Ephesians 6:12-18.
Our watchman is the Holy Spirit and He reveals God's Word to us as the Father promised. The watchman tells us the signs God has given. The Holy Ghost takes what He has printed on our spirit; 2 Corinthians 3:3 and keeps us well informed. To reveal to us all God has promised and to warn us about any traps the enemy may lay for us. But many are repeating what Peter wrote in 2 Peter 3:4:
they will say, where is this coming, as He promised?
Many believers that once believed in Jesus coming have allowed doubt to enter in and they have fulfilled this scripture, forgetting time to God is not the same as time to man. I can tell you without a doubt, His coming is right on time; not man's time, but God's time.
Some say, I am not interested in what the Bible says about the future. God's Word tells us about what happens to those who are ignorant about His word. Hosea 4:6: My people are destroyed because you have rejected knowledge. Many souls will be destroyed because of lack of knowledge of God's Word. They will be easily deceived and will not know the signs of the times that God's Word tells us about.
Every child of God should be concerned with what is happening in the Middle East, Russia, China and other parts of the world. Even though they are miles from our shores, we are part of what is happening to them. God's Word connects the world together. There are reasons to stay watchful!! The uncertain time of the return of the Lord, Matthew 25:13
keep watch because you do not know the day or hour. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 says we will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Revelation 16:15 tells us Jesus will come as a thief. Read 1Thessalonians 5 and Revelation 3:11: I am coming soon, hold on to what you have, so no man will take your crown.
To say, I am not interested in all of God's Word, is throwing away our spiritual life in total ignorance. Many have things today they never dreamed of having and they like processions even at the expense of the Truth of God's Word. Hosea 4:6 says: My people are destroyed because you have rejected knowledge. May the Spirit of God rekindle the truths of Jesus coming, the kudgment that saints and sinners will face and the truth of the places of eternity, heaven or hell.
